Amway UK donates $10,000 to Children's Hospice after Ronaldinho scores

Amway UK donates $10,000 to Children's Hospice after Ronaldinho scores

AC Milan and Team Nutrilite member Ronaldinho recently scored a goal against Portsmouth, which means that the children’s hospice, Keech Cottage, will receive a $10,000 donation.

Amway UK, which is based at Caldecotte Business Park, had pledged to give the cash donation if Ronaldinho scored in the UEFACup game when AC Milan took on Portsmouth.

The money will go to Keech Cottage, a hospice for children with life-limiting illnesses that cares for children from Milton Keynes.

About Keech Cottage:

Keech Cottage is used to provide care for children with life limiting conditions with the aim of helping patients to enjoy the highest quality of life while providing vital support for their families and friends.  All its services are provided free of charge, 24 hours a day 365 days of the year.

Keech Cottage is based north of Luton and covers the areas of Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Amway UK & ROI General Manager Andy Smith said: “We are absolutely thrilled when Ronaldinho scored with a superb free kick. Keech Cottage provides a fantastic service and relies heavily on donations to continue its good work so we are delighted to support them.”

Chief Executive of Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice, David White, expressed his gratitude: “Amway have come up with a fun and unique way to support children worldwide and we are delighted that Keech Cottage has benefited from their generosity – and Ronaldinho’s right foot! The children who use our hospice services will be over the moon that the football superstar scored for them.”

Earlier this year, Amway signed two-time FIFA Player of the Year and AC Milan forward Ronaldinho to a global endorsement agreement and named him global spokesperson for the Amway One by One Campaign for Children.

As part of the deal, Amway donates $10,000 to children’s charities every time Ronaldinho scores anywhere in the world.
