Amway Russia has been recognized as the best employer of Russia in 2008. The award "Best Employers of Russia" was introduced for the first time this year, based on the results of the 5th annual Moscow recruitment market research, under support of "Personnel Management" magazine. Over 1200 leading Moscow companies  - market leaders - took part in the research to help assess recruitment agencies. Recruitment agencies in turn evaluated the working practices of employers and nominated several "best companies". The stability and predictability of a company’s social policy, compliance with the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, which is especially important for a socially responsible company, keeping moral and ethical standards, competitive wages, and more were major criteria for nomination.

Amway Russia has launched a new Business Support Center (BSC) in Moscow. The 104m² BSC, costing over $850,000, is part of Amway's development strategy for the Russian Market.

At the new "Yuzhny" BSC Center Amway Independent Entrepreneurs can both purchase and place orders on Amway products, as well as attend trainings in a specially equipped training room. All sales areas have state-of-the-art display stands and plasma displays where Amway Independent Entrepreneurs can get information about Amway business and products.

A few days prior to the International Children’s Protection Day, on May 27, Amway Russia and UNICEF held a press-conference,dedicated to the results of their joint programs in 2007 and a new long-term project - "Child’s Smile".

The venue of the press-conference was one of the most popular family cafes in Moscow, where bright colors and funny decorations bring you back to childhood and prove how important it is for a child to feel comfortable and safe. Among the participants of the press-conference there were: Ms. Kemlin Furley, Deputy Representative of UNICEF in the RF; Oleg Gazmanov, popular Russian singer; Oxana Fyodorova, ex-Miss Universe and popular TV anchor; and Maxim Litvin, Head of the External Affairs Department and Irina Platonova, Senior Coordinator of CSR Programs at OOO "Amway". Oxana Fyodorova and Oleg Gazmanov are UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors in the Russian Federation.

In April, as part of the joint Amway – UNICEF "Inclusive Education" project, aimed at setting up two inclusive schools in Ulan-Ude, Buryatia, a special event "A Plane of Friendship" was held.

The goal of this event was to team up children with disabilities and their peers without disabilities in a competition to fly paper planes.
