Amway China has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi, won of the world's largest advertising agencies, to handle its Nutrilite health food range, including its flagship supplement brand, Double X. Saatchi & Saatchi won through in a four way pitch against other leading 4A’s agencies. The incumbent was Ogilvy & Mather China.
Amway entered China in 1992, headquartered in Guangzhou and with one of the largest maunfacturing plants built outside of the US. Their combined strategy of strong retail focus, consumer advertising and well-established sales representative system took total sales to more than 8.2 billion US dollars by end of 2008, with double digit growth.
Amway's corporate vision is to help people live better lives, along with a "Think global, Act local" viewpoint, both values which are shared by Saatchi & Saatchi Guangzhou.

Amway has reported 28% sales growth in the Chinese market, reaching ¥17 billion in 2008 ($US2.5billion), Amway Greater China president Yan Zhirong told China Business News. "We have set a double digit growth target for 2009 as China's cosmetics market is projected to be worth ¥50 billion and to expand 12% over the years to come," Yan said.
