Amway Opportunity Foundation celebrates 10 years

Amway One by One

Jamshedpur, July 13: The Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF), a non-profit, corporate social responsibility wing of Amway India, today celebrated it’s 10th anniversary with the less-privileged children of Cheshire Home.

The organisation reiterated its commitment to the social cause by donating 25 mattresses to Sister Ann, the principal of Cheshire Home, during a function at the Michael John auditorium today.

Employees of Amway and their children spent quality time with the children of Cheshire Home in a workshop organised at the same venue as a part of the celebration.

According to officials, the basic idea of the workshop was to instil a feeling of belonging and partnership among the less-privileged children of Cheshire Home and the children of the employees of Amway.

The children of Cheshire Home demonstrated their creative abilities at the workshop. The art of making envelopes, greeting cards, pot paintings, paper bags and toys was received with a lot of appreciation by those present at the workshop.

The vice-president (east), Amway, Diptarag Bhattacharjee, expressed his gratitude towards the children by purchasing all the items made by them.

“Every child has the right to lead a better life and we believe that our little contribution would help the children at Cheshire Home realise their dreams,” said Bhattacharjee.

“The key objective of this workshop was to sensitise the minds of children towards their special counterparts,” he said.
