Amway Scandinavia sponsors Nordea Danish Open

Amway Scandinavia (consisting of Amway Sverige, Amway Danmark, Amway Norge, and Amway Suomi) has been named as the main sponsor of the 2008 Nordea Danish Open Women's Tennis championship. The tournament will feature up and coming young Danish tennis star, Caroline Wozniacki. This is the first major tournament the Top 20 player has played in her home country.

Amway Greece sponsors Athens Xclusive Designer Week

AMway Greece and AXDWApril 9, 2009: Amway Hellas participated with great success as the official cosmetics sponsor of the 5th International Athens Xclusive Designers Week (AXDW) held in the National Insurance Conference Centeer, Athens, from 3 to 6 April.

217 models using Amway brands E.Funkhouser New York and Artistry presented new trends in fashion on 17 catwalks. Amway, one of the largest and most successful direct sales companies worldwide, has more than 450 high quality products, including E.Funkhouser New York, professional quality cosmetics designed for the modern woman, and Artistry, which has for 35 years lead the latest developments in skin care.

Amway Spain reports 14% growth

Amway SpainAmway de España has reported sales of €7.5 million for 2008, a 14% increase over 2007 sales of €6.6 million.

With a catalog of over 450 quality health and beauty products and high quality health, Amway distributors in Spain have followed an upward trend in recent years. Jordi Marín, Director General of Amway Spain and Amway Portugal, said:

Nutrilite holds A.C. Milan Day

Nutrilite_Franco_BaressiOn 26th April 2009, a ‘Milan Day’ dedicated to the NUTRILITE sponsorship of AC Milan Football Club was held in the Amway Promotional Center in Italy.

Invited to the event were the top 100 performing ABOs in NUTRILITE sales during 2008, plus Diamonds, Focus Group members and a very special guest … FRANCO BARESI, one of the most famous AC Milan players of the 80’s and 90’s.

The attendees enjoyed a number of presentations around the subject of ‘The NUTRILITE Brand and sport’, as well as a special interview with Franco Baresi himself.

The top 50 ABOs for the NUTRILITE Brand were extended a further invitation to watch the AC Milan-Palermo match in the San Siro Stadium that day. AC Milan powered to a 3-0 win and it was a fabulous experience, despite the slightly gloomy weather!

Cecilia Lidén - 6 time winner!

Cecilia Lidén, Amway Scandinavia's head trainer for Artistry and Eddie Funkhouser cosmetics, has won the Swedish MakeUp Championships for the 6th time.

Last year, a disappointed Cecilia was 2nd in the competition."I lost by a point. It was hard for me to accept, so this year I decided to win big or lose big! Luckily it went the way I wanted"

This years theme was "gothic".

"I used makeup from Eddie Funkhouser New York in the competitio, together with someof the trends and ideas I'd picked up from Eddie", said Cecilia. "Dark eyes had a miraculous effect, but this time with red underneath."

Cecilia has represented Sweden in the European championships on a number of occasions and has won 3 silver medals.

Today Nutrilite announced a sponsorship agreement with AC Milan – the most successful soccer club in the world.  AC Milan boasts three Intercontinental Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup, seven European Champions Clubs’ Cups, five European Super Cups and two UEFA Cups Winners’ Cups. The global agreement designates the Nutrilite brand as the “Official Nutrition Supplement of AC Milan” and provides the brand with a hybrid of multi-media and promotional rights to the club over the next two years.

Amway to begin manufacturing in Europe

Amway UK announced to it's independent business owners this week that Amway has begun manufacturing a range of Amway Home products in Europe. Previously these products were manufactured at Amway's headquarters in Michigan, USA.

Amway stated they have partnered with a family owned Belgian company, with business experience dating back to 1887. Initial products to be manufactured under the new agreement at Amway Home Dish Drops, Amway Home L.O.C., Amway Home SA8, and Amway Gel Oven Cleaner. The first units are expected to ship in November, 2011.

There will be no change in formulation, however the decision is expected to reduce lead and transportation times, as well as reducing carbon emission reduction by as much as 79 percent. 

Nutrilite sponsored athlete Esteban Gutierrez wins Formula BMW Europe series


Monza, Italy – September 18, 2008 – Young and proudly Mexican talent Esteban Gutierrez, of the Josef Kaufman Racing team, finished his participation in the Formula BMW Europe series with excellent results.

After getting an excellent fourth place in Saturday's race, which offered many interesting takeovers,  and once again showed the level of competitiveness in the European series, in which future stars of the maximum category of world motor sports racing are found.  Only a few points were enough for the young driver to conquer the Formula BMW Europe championship, before the last race of the 2008 season which took place on Sunday and in which Gutierrez showed once more his talent and intelligence in front of thousands of fans that attended the historical Italian Circuit where the driver from Monterrey offered once again impeccable driving and in the end managed to cross the finish line in third place and thus close the Formula BMW season in the champion’s podium.
    
After 16 races, fans form all over the World will definitely never forget this orange and silver-striped race car number 7, which offered young and old a memorable season that will remain in the world motor sports books and will be a part of world auto racing history forever. His dedication, commitment, professionalism and personality will remain in the minds of all those who had the opportunity to share this season with the Mexican talent.

Gutierrez becomes the first champion of the series; after having achieved 3 pole positions, 7 triumphs (6 of the consecutive), 3 second places, two third places and 12 spots on the podium. Esteban was able to add up 353 points, 23 more than his talented teammate Marco Wittman, who took second place in the championship. With these results, Esteban and Marco helped their Josef Kaufmann Racing team also conquer the team championship, to thus reinforce that they were the best team of the season.  

“What can I say? It’s in credible to be able to finish the season on the podium. Up to the last race, all drivers improved more and more, which means that it was not easy. Now I feel that time flew by. This unforgettable experience started in Monza, Italy, only seven months ago, and suddenly I’m champion here in Monza and now all the tests and races are behind me. I thank God for the opportunity of being here representing my Mexico, my country, of learning so many things and at the same time maturing as a person and as a professional driver. I want to dedicate this achievement to all those people who believed in me, my family, my friends, fans, the media and my team and my sponsors Multigama, Nutrilite, and Nemak, I’ll never forget their unconditional support through good times and bad times. We will keep working very hard preparing every day to follow the right path in search of my dreams of one day becoming a Formula One driver, and to keep putting the name of Mexico way up high," Esteban commented.

Amway UK celebrates increase in sales following PR campaign success

Andy_SmithBased in Caldecotte, Amway’s head office PR team launched the campaign with the opening of its first ‘Flagship Experience Centre’ in Holborn, London in April 2009 which has resulted in over 5,000 visitors per month and where over 10% of sales are now generated. The company, who also celebrated a milestone 35th anniversary in Milton Keynes last year, utilises its training centre in Milton Keynes and the London store to train new ABOs.

Research results have shown that ABOs who are trained in Milton Keynes and the London centre are three times more productive in selling its diverse range of beauty, health and homeware products. The London Centre also boasts the ‘Style Bar’ hair salon, designed by international hair stylist John Gillespie, promoting Amway’s Satinique hair care range.
