More than 5500 Amway Independent Entrepreneurs take part in the Chestnut Run

5 589 participants of Amway’s Team Nutrilite took part in the 17th charitable "Chestnut Run", in Kiev, Ukraine on May 31, 2009, starting on the main city square Maidan Nezalezhnosti.
Thanks to the participation of Amway Independent Entrepreneurs, this year run has become the largest event in its history. The total number of participants exceeded the numbers of the three previous runs taken together.
From early morning to evening, green t-shirts branded with AmwayTM and Team NutriliteTM logos could be seen on the central streets of Ukraine’s capital.
Team Nutrilite representatives gained first place in the women’s run and a prize for the youngest participant! Svitlana Stanko from Rivne won the women's 5km event, covering the course in 16 min 49 sec. Amway also received a special cup as the largest team.
The goal of the "Chestnut Run" is to help the child patients of the Center for Cardiology and Cardiosurgery. More than 8000 participants from all parts of Ukraine came together on the Day of Kiev to aid the life of children who need surgery for curing heart defects.
All funds collected during the Chestnut Run are donated to the Center for purchasing necessary medicine, equipment and daily inventory.
