Amway Czech receives UNICEF certificate

Amway Czech Republic has received a UNICEF Certificate for their partnership and cooperation with helping children live better lives.

Through Amway Europe's support of UNICEF's work in Kilifi, Kenya, immunization of children under the age of one has increase from 40 percent to 70 percent.

Amway Romania estimates 20% growth

Amway RomaniaDriven by the introduction of new cosmetics products, Amway Romania reported 11% growth for the 1st Quarter of 2008.

“In March and April, growth exceeded 20 percent compared to the same months in 2007,” Amway Romania’s Branch Manager, George Popescu, told Romania's Business Standard.

Amway Poland achieves 30% growth

Amway Europe GrowthFounders Crown Ambassadors Dr Peter and Eva Müller-Meerkatz have reported on their blog that Amway Poland, founded 16 years ago in 1992, is one of the fastest growing markets in Europe, with growth of 30% from 2006 to 2007. Amway Ukraine was the star performer, with 63% growth.

Amway wins "Corporate Donor of Russia" award

Corporate Donor of Russia awardThe official award ceremony for Corporate Social Responsibility in Russian companies involved in charities and social activities took place on October 13, 2008 at the State Art Museum of Alexander Pushkin in Moscow.

Amway Russia was nominated for its join work with UNICEF on the project "Inclusive Education" and won the award "Best program for contributing to the creation of a favorable environment for the life and work of disabled people". The nomination was supported by the United Nations representative office in Russia. 

The awards were organizaed by Donor's Forum, with the support of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. Among co-organizers and partners of the contest are: Ministry of Economic Development of the RF, Russian Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs, Commission on Charity and NGO Development of the Public Chamber of the RF, UN Representative Office in the RF, Federal Youth Agency, as well as leading Russian mass media.

40 Corporate Social Responsibility projects were submitted for the 5 awards, aimed at identifying best corporate social responsibility practices in various fields.

Amway and e-point win Project Excellence Award Poland 2007

e-pointAmway Online, Amway Europe's new e-commerce platform developed by Polish company e-point, was the winner of the main prize in a competition held by the International Project Management Association. IPMA is an international organisation established in 1965 which associates over 44,000 project management specialists from about 50 national representative bodies in all continents.

Amway named the Best Employer of Russia

Amway Russia Best Employer AwardAmway Russia has been recognized as the best employer of Russia in 2008. The award "Best Employers of Russia" was introduced for the first time this year, based on the results of the 5th annual Moscow recruitment market research, under support of "Personnel Management" magazine. Over 1200 leading Moscow companies  - market leaders - took part in the research to help assess recruitment agencies. Recruitment agencies in turn evaluated the working practices of employers and nominated several "best companies". The stability and predictability of a company’s social policy, compliance with the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, which is especially important for a socially responsible company, keeping moral and ethical standards, competitive wages, and more were major criteria for nomination.

Amway Romania shifts strategy to luxury

Artistry logoAmway Romania, one of the top 5 players on the Romanian cosmetics market, registered 18% growth in turnover in the first 6 months of 2008, thanks to launching new products on the luxury segment, the Business Standard informs on August 19.
 
The Company, working on the multi-level marketing (MLM) system, is promoting new products every year, as the market is "extremely sensitive to quality products," the Company’s Branch Manager, George Popescu, told the Business Standard.
 
"We recently launched the Luxury cream. Within the first month, it became the best sold Amway product, of a total 700 products we have," Popescu said adding that the Company entered the luxury segment thanks to the demand on the local and the international markets.
 
"We consider the market is demanding such a product at the time, and that people willing to spend more on such a product," Popescu stressed, adding that other luxury products are to be launched this fall.
 
Popescu said that Amway Romania expects a 20% increase in business for full-year 2008. Besides cosmetics, the Company sells food supplements, household and cooking products, and perfumes. All products are imported from the United States. The largest  ratio in the Company’s sales is made up by cosmetics, up to 50-60%.
 
Amway Romania’s main competitors on the direct cosmetics sales market are Oriflame, Avon and Zepter the Business Standard concluded.
 

Amway Russia opens Business Support Center in Moscow

Amway Russia has launched a new Business Support Center (BSC) in Moscow. The 104m2 BSC, costing over $850,000, is part of Amway's development strategy for the Russian Market.

At the new "Yuzhny" BSC Center Amway Independent Entrepreneurs can both purchase and place orders on Amway products, as well as attend trainings in a specially equipped training room. All sales areas have state-of-the-art display stands and plasma displays where Amway Independent Entrepreneurs can get information about Amway business and products.
