Amway South Africa Partners With The Stokvel Company

Amway South Africa has announced it's partnership with The Stokvel Company at the Stokvel Achievers Gala Dinner, held in the Alberton Civic Center outside Johannesburg, May 14 2008. The Stokvel Company partners with a broad base of associations, organizations and individuals who are committed to savings and wealth creation. Stokvels, informal savings schemes, represent a significant part of the South African community. An estimated 8 million people belong to stokvels and it is conservatively estimated that the industry generates over R12 Billion Rand per annum.
Amway also sponsored the Entrepreneur of the Year award and was proud to congratulate a stokvel group called Bontitas. Entrepreneur of the Year was won by Bondtitis Burial Society. Bondtitis has a funeral scheme based in Davyton which comprises of 900 members. They also have an extensive investment portfolio to maximize returns and benefits for policy holders and Amway was very proud to honour these members for their achievements.
Vince Musewe, Deputy CEO of the Stokvel Company said that, "Having the support of an international company of the calibre of Amway joining the stokvel movement reinforces our belief that we are on the correct path in creating sustainable opportunities for stokvels.
